Shivamogga Subbanna, the primary Kannadiga to win a National Award for playback singing, died after struggling a coronary heart assault in Bengaluru

Kannada singer Shivamogga Subbanna breathed his final following a coronary heart assault at a hospital in Bengaluru on Thursday evening, sources near the household stated. He was 83.

“He was admitted to Jayadeva Hospital in the city where he passed away,” one of many sources stated. He is survived by a son and a daughter.

Subbanna was the primary Kannadiga to win a National Award for playback singing for his tune ‘Kaadu Kudure Odi Banditta’ within the movie Kaadu Kudure. He grew to become a family identify in Karnataka after he sang ‘Baarisu Kannada Dindimava’, written by Award-winning Kannada author Kuvempu.

Known for his work within the area of ‘Sugama Sangeetha’, a style wherein poetry in Kannada is ready to music, Subbanna has labored on and sung poetries of well-known poets comparable to Kuvempu and Da Ra Bendre, and bought a number of awards and honours.
