Jason Roy slapped 2-Match ban, $3,300 effective for misconduct from ECB: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Tuesday handed a two-match worldwide ban to opener batter Jason Roy together with a financial effective of GBP 2,500 for bringing sports activities into disrepute.

While the ECB didn’t disclose the extent or the small print of the breach dedicated by Jason Roy, it confirmed that the cricketer has accepted the sanctions imposed by the cricket board.

“Roy has admitted a charge of conducting himself in a manner which may be prejudicial to the interests of cricket or which may bring the game of cricket, the ECB and himself into disrepute, in breach of ECB Directive 3.3.”
