CA appoints Andrew McDonald as Australia males’s full-time coach: In a large growth, Cricket Australia (CA) on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of former Victoria all-rounder Andrew McDonald as Australia’s males’s cricket workforce coach. McDonald has signed a full time 4 years contract with Cricket Australia for all three codecs of cricket.

Andrew McDonald will take over Justin Langer, who resigned from his place in early February. Notably, McDonald had been serving as an interim coach for Australia and has taken his workforce to a historic victory towards Pakistan within the subcontinent. 

“Andrew has already shown he is an outstanding Head Coach and the vision he outlined for the role during the appointment process was both impressive and exciting, making him our clear choice,” CA chief Nick Hockley stated.

He additional added that each the skippers (Aaron Finch and Pat Cummins) are pleased with the best way Andrew McDonald has coached to date.

“We are proud of the way the team played and the respect shown throughout the tour of Pakistan under the leadership of Andrew, Pat [Cummins] and Aaron [Finch] and really pleased Andrew is taking on the role permanently.”

During Justin Langer’s stint as the top coach, Andrew McDonald labored as an assistant coach together with a task of bowling mentor for Cricket Australia.
