Talking about Ayan’s humility, the director-producer added, “Ayan has not moved socially upwards at all. He is driving the same car that he used to seven years ago. He hasn’t moved into an upscale home either. He lives now where he lived when he came to become a director.”

Ayan made his directorial debut on the age of 26 with the coming-of-age comedy Wake Up Sid, which was an enormous industrial success. The film was produced by Karan Johar beneath his banner Dharma Productions. Ayan has additionally labored as Assistant Director for the film Swades.
