Six groups within the Ultimate Kho-Kho League, promoted by the chairman of Dabur India, Amit Burman in collaboration with the Kho Kho Federation of India have handpicked 143 gamers for the sport’s upcoming season one beginning in August.

The event, set to be performed in Pune’s Balewadi Stadium, had 240 registered gamers from 28 states and union territories who had been a part of the draft course of. They had been divided into 4 classes, A, B, C and D in line with their performances in worldwide matches, the latest nationwide championships and analysis performed by the league.

Chennai Quick Guns, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Khiladis, Odisha Juggernauts, Rajasthan Warriors, Telugu Yoddhas would be the six groups to compete within the event. “We have a balanced squad of experienced as well as youthful players, so we are happy with it. Hopefully, during training, we will analyse their abilities based on that we will form a team. With the number of matches, we will know how to form our team, ” mentioned Chennai Quick Guns’ co-owner Srinath Chittoori.

Punit Balan, co-owner of the Mumbai workforce mentioned, “A very good squad of 24 individuals for our workforce is prepared. It is a really balanced workforce.”

Colonel Vinod Bisht, CEO GMR Sports which owns Telugu Yoddhas added, “Being the first season, we have relied on the coach’s input and who have gone ahead and suggested names. We have taken a lot of players from the senior category, A and B, have blended them with a lot of younger players in C and D. We hope that with the experience and the youth which gives the bigger speed, we will be able to do well in the first season.”

“We are I feel fairly certain that we can give you a really profitable workforce and really mature workforce within the season to return. We will give a troublesome struggle to whoever it’s and naturally, it depends upon how we handle the workforce which I guarantee we’ll do very nicely,” Ajit Sharan, director, Capri Global that owns Rajasthan Warriors.
